3 Carrots grated
½ Beetroot grated
½ cup Green peas, boiled
2 medium Potatoes, boiled and grated
4 Green chillies, chopped
2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
3 ½ tbsp Gramflour (Besan)
1 tbsp Shahi jeera powder
2 tsp Chaat masala
2 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
2 Hot dog buns
In a bowl, add grated carrot, grated beetroot, boiled green peas, boiled & grated potatoes, chopped green chillies, ginger garlic paste, shahi jeera powder, chaat masala, gramflour, salt and mix well.
Soak satay sticks in water & use them to make the veg seekh kebabs.
Shape them well & keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and cook the veg seekh kebabs evenly from all sides.
Slit the hot dog buns from the centre & place the veg seekh kebab in between.
Add onion rings, fresh mint leaves from the sides Add mayonnaise & tomato ketchup on top.
Serve with green chutney.
Blend chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chillies & ginger, cumin powder, chaat masala, lemon juice and salt with a little water until smooth.
I suddenly had a craving for street food so we went to our favorite manong fishball vendor..To my surprise he has added a new item on his menu! Hotdogs! Yan na daw uso ngaun... :) and a sidetrip to also one of our favorite streetfood- isaw ang pork bbq!! An afternoon well (fed) spent!!
