You’ve heard about cucumbers helping with puffy eyes, but did you know they can also help with wrinkles?
If you’re interested in younger-looking skin, give this a try once a week.
INGREDIENTS: 1 tablespoonhoney. Cucumber slices (depending on how many areas you want to cover. I used 8)
DIRECTIONS: Peel off the outer skin of the cucumber. Identify the deeper wrinkles and dab some honey on those areas, then apply the cucumber slices on top. YOU CAN ALSO DO THIS ON THE NECK. Let it sit for - minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water and follow with moisturizer (and sunscreen). WHY THIS WORKS:
Honey - - has more naturally-occurring antioxidants than almost any other naturally-derived source. Those antioxidants fight off the environmental free radicals that cause damage. It's also full of magnesium, potassium and calcium that help regenerate the skin and promote cell turnover, plus it contains anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties that help heal wounds, rashes and fight off infections.
Cucumber - - contains vitamin C and caffeic acid - two antioxidants that when applied to the skin, will help ward off wrinkles. Additionally, cucumber contains flavonoids that decrease swelling, redness and irritation they are loaded with lots of nutrients like water, potassium, sulfate and vitamin A which will soothe a variety of skin conditions like, sun damage. Because they are more than % water, they will really hydrate your face, giving it that anti-aging help.
