The most absurd and sad phenomenon I have come across is people complaining about not being able to find the 'love' of their life yet and as a result, they keep going to and fro frantically in search of that love. They are so impatient with who to allow that they totally leave the ball into someone else's court. If you are a person who is too impatient to allow yourself a moment to think clearly and make a decision regarding something this important, you are most likely to give in to anything and everything thats served on your plate. And this exactly is where most people go wrong. What follows is predictable. Attachment. Sharing. Promises of spending rest of lives together. Disappointments. Heartbreaks. And you know the drill.
So what exactly happened? You chose the person unfit for you because you had just one thing in your mind when you met them. 'Im looking for the love of my life'. You were so submerged in this notion to meet that Cinderella/Rapunzel/Prince Charming that it blinded you of some of the obvious red flags that were lying right there. Heck it even made you compromise on a thing or two that meant the world to you. This means both of you never even got to a point where you had a chance to translate your true self or your choices in front of each other. You didn't form a rock bottom where both of you are meant to come back when the storm arrives. Before you both had a chance to lay a foundation, you entered something too serious but too pre-mature. So when the life got rough and either of you started revealing the ugly and scary parts, the house of cards collapsed. And you resorted to playing the usual blame game regarding how ugly it was.
Therefore, before you enter into this vicious cycle once again; take a deep breathe and take your time. Do not tax yourself. Do not rush. Do not get anxious. Go with the flow and get to know the things that matter to you. PLEASE READ - This week we visited the #beautiful#island of Nusa Lembongan in South East Asia for a day of #diving. We stopped at Manta Bay and it was stunning; on the surface of the water that is... We saw huge Manta Rays #swimming underneath the #boat and it all seemed so magical. But then we went underneath the #oceans surface...I honestly could have just burst into tears then and there. I have never been so horrified and heartbroken as I was when I saw the amount of #plastic and #rubbish in the bay. These beautiful creatures swimming amongst the mess that we as #humans have created. The Manta’s had plastic bags around their mouths and on their bodies whilst swimming around the rubbish in search for food. This rubbish is brought in from various parts of the #globe from #currents and #tides which means we are ALL to blame. EVERYTHING goes back into the #ocean.. #putitinthebin
Scientists have predicted that by the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the #ocean than there are #fish!! THAT IS 32 YEARS FROM NOW - WITHIN OUR LIFETIME!! This past year I have really started to limit my use of plastic and I am privileged enough to live in a country where avoiding plastic and #recycling is really quite simple! For example, refusing plastic straws, using a #keepcup when purchasing coffee, taking re-usable bags when buying groceries, buying unpackaged food and recycling everything you possibly can. Even when travelling I’ve really tried to limit my use of plastic and waste and encourage those I #travel with to do the same.
It just completely breaks my heart that the ocean is suffering at a mass extent due to our careless behaviour and lack of knowledge. What you can’t see can’t hurt I guess but without the ocean and it’s #ecosystem there is no us! And it is declining rapidly. More importantly, beautiful #animals like these shouldn’t have to suffer because of us.
Please #share this video to reach out and spread #awareness on the state of our oceans and please try to limit your use of non-reusable plastic and waste #conservation#oceanawareness#take3forthesea#oceanconservation#girlsthatscuba#gopro #
