When the competition weekend catches up with you I am so flippin exhausted that I actually don't know what's hit me. I could sleep for a week, but my body won't rest. It's restless and anxiously waiting for me to gym, or do SOMETHING. I physically can't sit still... an odd thing to explain, buy after almost 18 months of consistent prep, tracking food, workouts, water intake, supps, everything - my body knows nothing different. I have no intention of stopping at all, but there isn't a need to be a nutcase - I can slow down a smidge and that is both healthy and SMART.
My mind is ready - my body is not there yet, so here we are. Fasted cardio, level 14 on the stairs, here we go! .
The lights of the stage never leave your heart. When you truly want something, you just go for it, no questions. #ifbbathlete#ifbbproleagueoz#ifbbprointhemaking#teeghanlouise
One day, your heart will stop beating and none of your fears or future plans will matter. All that will matter is how you lived. (The last time I wore this bikini, I was thicker and twerking in slow motion for an @inconuprod video. This made him uncomfortable LOLOLOLOL )
CAPTION THIS!! Best Caption will Win a Pro Tan T-Shirt or Tank!
We are celebrating #WCW with Team Pro Tan Athletes @jenronfit and @caseysamsel_bikini! This pic was snapped backstage at the @arnoldsports when they finally got to indulge in some treats!
It’s still Hump Day somewhere in the world, right? Seriously wanted to cry looking at these stage shots by @punk1965 I cannot explain how bloody happy I am with my physique, my presentation, my bikini, my glam - the whole lot!!!! Honestly couldn’t have asked any more of myself. I went to the @arnoldsportsau and gave it everything I had, and I’m super proud of that!!! Bring on ASF2019!!!
Post competition week is the pits! I dread it every time. It's funny because all prep you just want the chance to slow down and take a bit of time to chill. As appealing as that sounds, now isn't actually the time to do it.
Like everyone else, I tend to eat a little extra post comp and all the food sitting in your body is best utilised with training. Our bodies are primed now to store bodyfat very quickly and easily so the hard work doesn't stop unless I want to suffer the consequences and I definitely don't want that.
I haven't had a binge since my show, I never do. I haven't even been out for dinner or anything yet! That's why I love Flexible Dieting because I never feel restricted. I am however, hungry and a snacker. A few bites of this and that, a little chocolate, extra portion of carbs with dinner etc...it all adds up! I can already see my bodyfat creeping up and I know the hardest part of my prep is still to come. The reverse diet. Started tracking macros again yesterday so I can make sure it's a successful one and I get as much metabolic benefit out of this as I can. So it has to be done slowly with a slow steady increase in body fat. Massive fat regain unfortunately does way more harm than good. So best I get on with the job!
