"In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present". . Life is about pain, sadness and loss but life is also about happiness, joy and LOVE. Treasure the moments you share with the ones you care about, you love more than anything... time flies and you always loose someone in the battle but all the memories still keep you alive and make you grow up again and again.
Every solo trip is a lesson. It could sometimes be the same lesson taught over and over again.
I got past so many odds - bad health, Ola driver taking a wrong route and making me miss my train, taking a train 2 hours later at 3:30, when my paragliding was scheduled for 3pm, surviving a jam packed sweaty crowd and finally reaching the destination at 5:30PM
I climbed up 2km of rocks and skiddy sand in 40degC scorching heat, to paragliders take off point, only to learn that the winds are cross and the activity won't happen.
Well, what can one do, when mother nature isn't supportive?
But, this is a lesson being repeatedly taught to me: You can do everything that's in your control, but when the other side isn't receptive, there's nothing much you can do.
You can never force something that's not bound to exist. This could be a flunked interview, a failed relationship, or something as small as not being able to paraglide - of which I had been dreaming of since a month.
Everytime the other side has disappointed me, put me down, hit me hard, I have learned to get back up stronger and bolder - just like the paraglider trainees in the picture who got back up everytime they fell.
Every solo travel teaches me a lesson.
I am always her loyal disciple. (Picture co-edited by Sriraam Nagarajan)
