The Mount Lavinia Hotel.
I love hearing about the history of this hotel. Dating back to 1805 the love story of a local dancer named Lovina Apponsuwa and Sir Thomas Maitland the second British Governor is legendary.
In the lovely rivertown of Kampot we rented a scooter and drove all the way up the misty Bokor mountain. Here you can explore the ruins of the French colonisation, like this church. Can you spot the bride?
Since coming to Thailand people have been asking us if we have tried fried insects. We didn't have the opportunity until last night but...ummmm...we were too full from other treats lol. Have you ever had them?
If you are heading to Chiang Mai try to get there on Sunday night for that night market in Old City!! Local vendors are there for miles selling anything you can think of plus street food vendors and live music!
Imagine sleeping in your warm hotel room that happens to have a glass igloo ceiling where you can see the Northern Lights from your bed! Well, it’s possible at the @kakslauttanen_arctic_resort, a dream hotel in Finland. Thank you to the Five Stars of Scandinavia for this amazing experience.
LANE'S Mill!!! Built in 1859 along the River Avon, Christchurch, remnants of the old mill sit next to Hereford's Bridge. The community has went to great efforts to preserve the old mill and bridge, and have constructed a beautiful park and walkway in this area.
