A food trip is not only a place where my followers just see pictures of food from some restaurant or street food and just drool over it. A food trip is more than that, so I have decided to post some easy recipes that are from my followers and for my followers. So, anyone who would like to send his/her recipe just DM me with a picture of the dish.
Today's dish is Gobhi Manchurian by @harshita_karora
Chop a potato and cauliflower.
Boil them for 2-3 mins . Add a pinch of salt while boiling .
Keep it aside for a while , drain all the water and then wash again properly with cold water.
Keep the vegetables aside and let them dry.
Batter for Marination
3-4 tbsp of Maida ( all purpose flour)
2-3 tbsp of cornflour
The ratio between maid and cornflour should always be 3:1 .
Add a pinch of ginger garlic paste , salt , red chilli powder , black pepper and turmeric.
Mix the batter.
Add water gradually to the batter.
The batter should be of a good consistency.
Put all the vegetables in the batter and let them set in the fridge for 5-15 mins .
Once the vegetables are marinated properly, shallow fry them till they turn brown and crisp.
For the sauce :
Take a pan , add 2-3 drops of oil.
Sauté the finely chopped vegetables in the given order ;
- ginger - green and red chillies - onions - spring onions - capsicum - bell peppers.
After the vegetables are sautéed add a pinch of salt , pepper and red chilli powder ( optional)
Keep the flame on simmer and add a spoon of soya sauce and vinegar.
Stir the vegetables and sauces properly.
Now add 2 tbsp of red chilli sauce , green chilli sauce , shezwan sauce and tomato ketchup.
Stir all the ingredients properly .
And add the fried vegetables to it.
Mix the vegetables properly.
Now add half a cup of water and 1 tbsp of sugar.
Let all the ingredients mix properly and keep it on simmer for 2-3 minutes.
