I'd been hankering for a Malaysian Chinese meal of rice and dishes ever since returning, and got my wish last night. FOUR BLOATS from an array of mouthwatering dishes: clams with a spicy kam heong sauce (where I detected plenty of garlic eep), yam basket with crisp mantis prawns, housemade tofu with minced pork, and steamed fish with soy and vegetables. I'd be hard pressed to find anything like this in Melbourne, so every bloat was worth it.
I know how to construct a taco ya'll. I was raised with Mexicans on the west coast. We used to watch Abuelo or Papi roast goat in the back yard on an open fire, while Mami or Abuela and their crew made home made tortillas, in a big ass iron pot, i still drink horchata, if i can find it, and yes i can listen to mariachi music all day. You can tell by my page the many different cultures that have influenced my pallet.
These are Mexican fish tacos. Corn tortillas were purchased cause i just didnt have time to make my own so they are not authentic, but they were fried in a cast iron skillet of course, chopped red onion, tomato, avocado, cilantro, cheese, fried Pollack, taco sauce, fresh sliced lime or limon in Spanish. Dm me your email and i will get you the recipie. Enjoy.
