Success turns an underdog into a wolf - only if you know how to keep the hunger alive. Otherwise you're just another sheep.

The most important thing you need to do before you get started on your journey to a healthier life, is to set goals. Not just to know how you want to look, but to stay accountable, use it to motivate yourself when you're down, have a vision, a long term plan and a sense of direction.

When you start, you need to know how or why you're doing this. Set 2 goals - a short term goal to achieve within 2 months, and a goal to achieve in 6-12 months.

For example, a short term goal could be to improve your diet and sleep habits, stay consistent with workouts and lose 1 kilo per week.

A long term goal could be to lose 20 kilos, improve your stamina so you can run a half marathon, and be able to squat 300 pounds.

Once you have your goals set, you can start planning how to achieve them and what kind of routine to follow.

Visualization is one of the most overlooked parts of any goal setting. Shut your eyes and imagine how you'd look with your dream body. Getting a sun tan on your washboard abs/bikini body at a beach in Maldives? Auditioning for modeling and acting roles? Taking part in sports and athletics? Or simply being healthier, more confident and functional in your day to day work life.
Now everytime you feel down, and are losing motivation, look back at your goals and visualisation. Remember why you started. If you had to travel back in time and explain to your younger self why you gave up and never achieved any of these goals, would you be able to do it?

There is a growing body of evidence suggesting that money spent on β€œexperiential items” may increase an individual’s happiness. This is not to say that you don’t need physical items (like shoes, cars, etc.). Rather, it simply means that when you do have extra money, spending it on a day with the family at the water park or those piano lessons you’ve always wanted to take may improve your overall well-being more.

Your new car and stylish shoes will eventually become old and out of style, but your new memories and experiences with loved ones will never fade. -

Did some leg press to pre-exhaust my leg, I slightly overdid it in terms of weight. The positive part was my drop set on the squat rack was really effective but had to bail at the last minute because my leg was cramping on a whole different level.
