It's currently snowy and gross in NYC. I'm feeling thankful I planned ahead and packed some extra clothes because my flight was, indeed cancelled, but I'm dreaming of #shortsweather with my #BRF, @jessdefilippo, who has been nice enough to house me for my unpredicted stay in the city! Post run yoga after a terrible run the other day... it was my first time running in nearly 3 months... and my hamstring(s) felt even worse than before... I finally got an answer yesterday when I got my MRI results back... chronic proximal conjoined hamstring tendinosis with sciatic nerve inflammation... my symptoms are bilateral but the imaging was taken on only my worst side.... looks like there won’t be running in my future any time soon... I see the doctor again on Monday and something tells me an injection is in my future I am relieved to have a more clear diagnosis of what’s going on but ugh, I know high hamstring injuries take long to recover from... I’ve done the conservative treatments and it’s already been 6 months of this and even my yoga practice has been affected so I am beyond annoyed by it at this point... send healing vibes my way, I’m ready to get back at it!!!! #runnerproblems#yogiproblems#aintnobodygottimeforthis#hamstringinjury#sciaticnervepain#sucks#justwanttorun
Nothing makes me want to run more than not being able to run. This is my favorite running weather..Not too hot and kinda humid...LOVE a good sweat session! I will be glad when I feel like my old self and can hit the pavement. I took my health for granted. Being knocked on my butt with migraines, stress and a jacked up knee make me SO EXTREMELY grateful for the days I can get out and run or hit the weights.
