When I was growing up, we often had Danish pancakes for dinner on Sunday night. To this day, I don’t think I’ve ever had pancakes for breakfast (team smoothie!!) Every once in a great while, I’ll still make a little stack on a lazy Sunday, climb under the covers, read magazines + watch movies all night. It’s an indulgent little celebration - without the guilt - because these pancakes are gluten free, dairy free and + refined sugar free!!
Speaking of celebrations, @gaspic_healthyberry@xanjuschx and @tumblinbumblincrumblincookie are having a #fruitypancakeparty and I’m bringing these pink treats to the party!!
It feels so good to be back in the gym! For the past couple of months, I’ve been suffering from a pretty bad injury — an injury of the wallet I’ve made the most of home workouts but it’s been hard to get motivated because of all the distractions. I love this place!
So sweaty I tried day one of Kayla Itsine’s BBG plan, and let me just say... it was challenging! I’ve been getting bored with the same routine— 20 mins on the treadmill, then depending on the day; training legs, arms, back, and core with the same exercises. I felt as if I wasn’t really making the most out of my hour long workout. I love the workouts in the BBG plan because it’s something new everyday! Plus they’re only 28 mins long so you can fit them in no matter how busy you are. I haven’t felt this tired since high school soccer conditioning. Give this a try if you’re looking for something new! Or if you don’t want to commit to a plan, incorporate some different CrossFit workouts into your routine. Starting up my last 4 weeks of BBG 2.0 I forgot how many box jumps come up during these weeks. Seriously wish I had brought my ankle weights with me. Words I never thought I would say HAHA.
Thanks for all the kind words on my India “before” pictures from my story. I guess it’s a 2 month progress for BBG 2.0, but I was so busy when I started that I didn’t take photos. I know, shame on me. They are important and I brushed them off. Now I’m kicking myself in the butt because of it.

Spaghetti with homemade Marinara sauce
For the marinara sauce we started of with sautéing onions, garlic and tomatoes in olive oil. Once translucent we added tomato paste, water, himalayan sea salt, and black pepper. We then let it simmer for about 5 minutes and than tossed it with boiled whole wheat spaghetti!
(Not in the photo we topped it off with nutritional yeast, for a bursting cheesy flavor )
