To be completely honest, I feel like this first toner step is like a placebo effect for me at this point. But ever since introducing this step into my routine (almost two years ago), my skin texture has improved immensely. Of course this was combined with the regular use of acids and other serums, so I can't attribute it solely to the toners. Anywho, this is a step that I can no longer live without, so am always on the lookout for something new to try, if not a backup to buy. ⠀
.⠀ #cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner⠀
Scent/Texture: As with most Cosrx products, there isn't a heavy scent. It has a hint of the scent of the BHA Power Liquid.⠀
Notable Ingredients: Natural BHA from Mineral Water and Willow Bark Water and natural AHA from Apple Fruit Water, Glycolic Acid, Betaine Salicylate, Allantoin.⠀
Function: This toner is meant to gently exfoliate to reveal brighter, smoother, and healthier skin over time. I use it as cleansing and pH balancing toner as the concentration of the acids is not strong enough to truly exfoliate. Like I mentioned earlier, I haven't noticed any major improvements in skin texture or brightening that I can truly attribute to this product. I appreciate that the formula is not drying on the skin and gentle for sensitive skin (like mine)
Overall: It's been three months since I started using this toner, and I'm a little more than half-way through the bottle. I think the best thing I like about this product is the spray nozzle. It took a little getting used to but I honestly feel like I'm not wasting as much product. I still have a habit of wiping with a cotton pad after spraying it on my face, in case my cleansers didn't get rid of all the grime. It feels a lot like the Mizon toner if you ask me, which is great since that was one of my HG. It costs ~$13 for 5.2 oz. Not too shabby! I would definitely repurchase
Which pH-balancing toner is your favorite? Sometimes I honestly can't figure out which I prefer ♀️
This has been my #amroutine for this week and it has served me very well. It is hydrating and rich enough to keep my skin moisturized and plump throughout the cold days but without being too shiny or sticky. I am trying these weeks the It’s Skin Prestige Creme Ginseng d' Escargot as a morning cream as it was not moisturising enough for my dry skin during the night, not even with a sleeping pack over it. Let’s see how it does in the mornings. Finally, I also included in my morning routine the Swanicoco Bitamin C Calm Down Skintoner and Emulsion that was given to me by the brand as part of their #swans2 campaign. Very very first impressions? I like the light application, absorption and scent these products . This specific routine actually includes 3 different Swanicoco products which makes it a powerhouse of fermented goodness. I cannot wait to see the long term affects of these products on my skin.

What is BHA? In a brief summary, BHA stands for Beta Hydroxy Acid - it is an exfoliating acid that works on the surface as well as under the skin. It penetrates through sebum and dirt on the outer layers of skin and aids in treating clogged pores (blackheads and white heads).
Because of its ability to cut through sebum on the surface, BHAs are more preferred by those who have acne-prone and oily skin. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that can help clam down redness and acne.
This BHA liquid by @cosrx contains 4% BHA aswell as niancinamide, willow bark extract and sodium hyaluronate. The first 3 ingredients help to exfoliate, declog pores and brighten your skin while sodium hyaluronate moisturises.
Personal thoughts? I used it for a month and in all honesty, I really didn’t see much of a difference. It did help bring a couple of whiteheads and blackheads to the surface so I could extract them but there hasn’t been big changes that have made me decide that I must continue using the product in my routine. I stopped this using every single night a week ago and haven’t noticed any changes either.
I have a feeling that this would probably work more on someone who actually has acne prone skin my pore concerns are mainly extremely stubborn white heads and I was hoping this product would do the trick but unfortunately it hasn’t quite done it. I can see how beneficial this would be for someone with major pores and acne concerns though, as it did bring a few of my blackheads and white heads to the surface!
Recommended for those who have acne prone and oily skin - if you have a drier skin complexion I would recommend that you try it’s sister acid AHA which exfoliates and moisturises the surface to get rid of dry skin.
Taking care of the lips is super important! Here we summarise our favourite lip care products so that your lipstick can glide on with no fear of dead skin issues cuz we've all been there when suddenly we there's a random bit of dead skin popping and it looks horrendous!

Last one of the Bonvivant masks reviews! I still have another set of 6 to use or gift, but I really wanted to get through the whole collection by itself first.
Surprisingly enough, this collagen + olive is a white, lotion-y essence. The other one in the set that has a similar essence is the acai one, the rest are all watery. I wore this mask for 20 minutes or so, but I could definitely have kept it on longer for another 10-15 minutes like the other ones. Not the best fit I've been able to get with these masks, but the white essence definitely makes the wrinkles stand out a lot more than the clear essence types. Mask was pretty moisturizing and absorbed easily too. I actually though it absorbed faster than some of the others in the set.
Overall, I'm really happy with this whole line. They're not the most amazing masks ever, but they do a pretty good job at hydration and were sold at a very affordable price point too. @idewcare has another set of sheet masks out (along with their super cute jar masks), so I'm hoping those will be just as good, if not better than this set!
I've been getting birthday wishes throughout the day and I'm like "oh yea.... I'm 25 now" I definitely don't feel 25! But maybe after my birthday passes I'll feel like it? I'll check back in tomorrow and let you know
