Ok it's #humpday and on this day we hump...(right? Never understood it's meaning. Is it a verb, a noun, an adjective?) Either way seems like a good day to show off some effective movements to increase the gains on your Booty Hump. (AHA! Figured it out) .
First is a burner! SSL's or Static Squat Lunges. Make sure you pick a challenging but safe enough weight to ensure you're able to pop back into a standing position. (You don't wanna be stuck down there after 10reps!) .
Next is a weighted Lunge variation with a glute kickback. This movement places great tension on the front quad while contracting the glute on the opposite leg with the kickback. This requires great form to maintain balance with the kickback so practice practice. .
Now remember; ladies especially, I know you're bombarded on social media with images of what you think a desirable bum should look like and along with that you see all these crazy booty exercises thinking that's what should be done but please keep in mind that work outs actually break down the muscle so to really build that booty, your diet needs to be part of the building equation as well or you'll see little to no results. There's no need to reinvent the wheel for booty building just make sure your plan of attack is 3 dimensional and not just focused on the workout.

As you may know I sprained my ankle super bad almost 3 weeks ago
obviously I had to adjust my show cause the show must go on but how the heck was I gonna keep in shape and keep up my stamina for my concerts when I couldn’t even walk🤷🏻‍♀️ !!! I get asked all the time how the heck do you sing live and dance full out for 45 min and sometimes 3 Shows a day .... I’ll tell ya .... I run 🏃🏻‍♀️ ALL the time about 3 to 6 miles a day AND sing full out 🎶 my neighbors know me very well lol 😝
Since my injury I put my gym membership on hold ( my gym is like a CrossFit / heavy lifting place) and started with simple yoga 🧘‍♀️ moves to strengthen even though it hurt like a mother 🤦🏻‍♀️But I pushed through and always was listening to my body. Then I started slowly walking even though it took me 55 min to walk a mile 😱 frustrating YES but baby steps right cause can’t re injure myself. finally, this past weekend I can now walk 3 miles in 55 min 🙌🏽 I still haven’t tried running or jumping but that’s ok baby steps ! I keep thanking GOD I got injured 3 weeks ago and not next month or in May when I start having shows every day 🙏🏽 So long story short.. I discovered @beachbody on demand a couple nights ago and decided to try it out. I had a dvd 📀 from @autumncalabrese and I do love her work outs but now I can stream her classes from my laptop 💻 my cellphone 📱 and work out anywhere 🙌🏽👏🏼well ,this is just awesome !!! I’m doing the 3 month package and just started the #80dayobsession yesterday and I fricken LOVE IT !! And they have soooooo many classes to choose from ! I don’t work for them so I get nothing from them by me posting this post but just wanted to share ! You can work out at your own pace, work out anytime of day and in the privacy of your own home 🏠

See, one of the big issues with fitness here on Instagram is that it's super-duper easy to compare yourself to others.
You'll see some dude with washboard abs or some lady with a poppin' booty 🍑 and start comparing your physical appearance and progress.
In certain situations, it can be a good thing. For example, there's nothing wrong with looking at what others have achieved and using their discipline to fuel your own journey. The problem is when you start to compare your EXACT progress with theirs.
There are a couple of reasons why this is a No-No:
☝️No-No Reason #1 - You don’t know the in's & out's of someone else's journey, especially not if you're basing it solely on a 1200x1200 Instagram post. Chance are, they've been doing this a long time, and you're comparing your beginning to their middle or end.
✌️No-No Reason #2 - We all have different genetics, bone structures, muscle-building potentials, etc., so it's foolish to think you'll look exactly like someone else.
I'll be honest... that truth came crashing over me in a not-so-healthy way. It was incredibly frustrating to realize I probably wouldn't look exactly like some of my fitness "idols."
Over time, though, I've realized there's no sense in complaining about things that are out of my control. All I could do was focus on myself.
Are you making small progress day-to-day? Can you look back a few months ago and say you're proud of how far you've come? If you can answer "yes" to those questions, then I guarantee it'll motivate you to keep going. If you answer "no," then you can decide right meow to start the process.
Remember, this is YOU vs. YOU
