I've had numerous people tell me "don't label yourself as a feminist" due to some extremists that reside under the label of the feminist community.
Let's get something clear:
I don't hate men for being born, I don't hate men at all. I also don't degrade women who get plastic surgery, wear revealing clothing, have multiple sexual partners, choose sexualized careers or proudly flaunt their bodies.
The same thing that prevents me from "hating men" and judging women is the same thing that prevents me from being a racist, a homophobe, prejudice against religion, etc. I form opinions about people based on their individual actions and not the groups they fall under, or characteristics they have no control over.
Feminism in it's direct definition means: the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality.
It's never been a complicated thing for me to understand that any, and every living, breathing being on this planet deserves equality, compassion, freedom and respect.
Equal rights, economic rights, political rights, and social rights.
That's it. The end.
Feminist is not a dirty word ✌🏼️
