The Swahili word "safari", meaning 'journey', is evocative of a culture where the adventure of travel and the people that one meets along the way are more important than the destination.
As we've been traveling for the past 8 months I can't express enough how true that explanation of #safari is. We live in a crazy world right now. Maybe the solution to the epidemic of hatred is to #travel, to #learn, to make new #friends, to go on your own #journey.
Yogi wipe outOn social media we often share our highlights and bests. While it's fun to share the good stuff it paints a one sided picture that's hardly representative of our reality. We all fall down, we all face challenges and we all have to get back up again. Being imperfect isn't a flaw it's an essential part of being human. What flaw or challenge can you share with someone today to help lighten the load? #fall#imperfect#flawed#human#real#authentic#try#mistake#learn#realshit

I don't believe in losses when it comes to life, career, and goals. I only believe in lessons learned. You can allow the experince be noted as a loss, or you can allow it to be an experience you dissect for a lesson. What did you do wrong? What can you do right next time?
There's a reason you learn more in losses than you do in victories. Losses are moments where we learn something we may have forgotten, or we learn something we didn't know before. I have had many opportunities where I could have learned, however, I chose to do the popular thing and tally it a loss. I regret that.
From now on I look at "losses" as moments to learn instead of a loss. I understand the value in this positive mindset. Live to learn, learn to live. Losses aren't permanent just like winning isnt. It is the truth. However, learning NEEDS to be a daily permanent routine. Learning helps tremendously with self development. It's hard to develop yourself if you're always bringing yourself down again, and again.
Learn. Learn. Learn. It's best to find a solution within a problem, adapt, and then adjust. This is the pattern that will lead to success and confidence. Society has placed so much on losses, and so much so people feel when they lose they should quit as losing is unacceptable. But guess what, losses are part of success. You're going to lose, and when you do will you really allow it to be why you quit? How is expecting never to lose a positive mindset and not arrogant?
Prepare to learn. The best champions are the ones who have learned instead of given up.
