#reallifestories listen up, here’s the thing about me. I’ve never been afraid or one to shy away from social conflict. Back in high school I was bullied to filth for being queer, for being different, for not fitting the heteronormative mould; I was called a faggot, people threw rocks and shit at me, hey one person went as far to throw a street cone at me (gratefully missed me the weak bastard), but it never deflated my attitude to changing the way the world saw the LGBTIA community. One day walking home from school, I remember so clearly, one mouse of man shouted the F bomb over to road at me, I took that name home and wore it as a badge of honour. I grabbed my mother’s fish net stockings,a pair of blue heels, suspenders the lot and plastering the photoshoot all over the internet. I was fifteen fearless. I wish I was as courageous as my teen self, I know I’d be a lot happy if I was. Note to self, make 2018 the year I try change the world again, one queer at a time.
