The words I read sometimes are exactly what I need to read, some days they aren't BUT I am still learning some great knowledge!

One of my fellow coaches shared this with me and I cannot get it out of my head.

I think this is something that is so incredibly difficult for us to get into our stubborn little brains and I don’t know why.
.
Why is it that when things are hard and you’re tired, you’d rather just quit? Why has that become our constant cycle? We get so wrapped up in the busyness of life, that we don’t even know what rest looks like, let alone how to do it.
.
I am going to try to make this my new lifestyle. Tim just told me this morning that I am always tired. It was kind of a gut punch, but also true. My immunosuppressed body is always fatigued, and it’s made worse by the meds I have to take to stay healthy.
.
But the good thing about that is that it forces me to be better about listening to my body and giving it the rest it needs. The old me would have completely given up after a hard season, but the new me is listening, waiting, and resting. And then hopping right back into it.
.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Fitness is a journey, not a destination.
.
So let it be that. Work. Listen. Rest. And work again. You CAN change your habits.
.
