First looks?? Do you love em or hate em?? I'm anything but traditional and think that first looks are way more fun then seeing eachother for the first time at the alter! Plus the lighting is normally better (i can oick where you two stand) and I can photograph you from any angle instead of being restricted to the the front of the ceremony space. The two of you also get to have a moment to yourselves which can calm those pre I-do nerves. It's a totally win-win in my opinion!
Truth is, I love cake, especially wedding cake. The reality is, fitting cake into an athletic diet is nearly Impossible; and, at first, most of my dieting, lifestyle changes, and weight-loss attempts all faced set backs because of my love for sweets.
So instead of making yourself suffer, you have to find a diet (lifestyle) that allows you to eat the things you love, and still accomplish your goals.
Here's how: what has been and continues to work for me are these 3 methods you combine.
1: the of it fits your macros method. This take planning. If you know you want to eat cake then plan it in your daily meal. I have unashamedly at cake for my daily carb intake, and I've lost 50 pounds. Pro Tip: Always try to add in at least 2 cups of green veggies daily.
2: The caloric deficit method. This is simply eating less calories than your body burns. When your energy in is lower than your the energy you burn you lose weight! Keep your protien at essential levels, and eat whatever else you want (as long as your under your calories)
3: Exercise at least 5 times a week. This could be walking or my preferred method weight lifting! Ladies, don't be afraid to lift! There's no better way to relieve stress from work and wedding planning than lifting weight and pushing yourself! Just get out and so something for 30 minutes if nothing else.
I hope these tips help you in your lifestyle journey from wedding preparation, to life in general!
Fun fact: Chase and I first met because he pulled my hair. True story.. we were at a house where someone was hosting a night of prayer for our campus and as I was talking to some friends, I felt someone tug on the bottom of m hair and turned to see him. It was super awkward and I was very confused. I had just assumed he thought I was someone else but apparently he thought it was fake and decided to pull it and see..? Who does that? Haha. Anyways, I guess it worked cause now we're married with a little nugget!
