Yesterday we benefitted from a lil baby miracle. While hiking a primitive trail, we came across some flooding at the base of a really steep rock. We tried to follow a trail around it but came to an impassable point that way as well. As soon as we got back to the flooded area and had accepted our fate of wet, icy boots, a group of a couple families saw the issue and immediately jumped into action. The dads tied together these jackets ^ and literally pulled me, Emily, an elderly couple, and their wives up the rock and around the water within minutes. We are thankful for these kind strangers with reliable tread on their shoes.
