You know something I’ve been learning lately? We can only feel one emotion at a time. It seems like a simple concept, but I think we forget this sometimes!
When I feel anxious, fearful, or frustrated, I can choose to focus on things I’m grateful for, and literally replace the anxiety in my mind, with gratitude. How crazy is that?
My prayer lately has been for God to replace negative, self defeating emotions with motivation, laser focus on hard work, and sparks of creativity. So that I’m too focused on feeding my goals, I won’t have the space to dwell on my fears.
Next time you have negative thoughts float into your mind, you should try it! Think of things you’re grateful for, and focus on those. You may find that those self-defeating feelings just float away. #goodriddance
|| Gunna Get Mugged || In honor of the glaze fire that is happening this week and the new mugs I will have here is one of the pieces that will be fired. The red orange color when fired will actually end up being a solid black glaze, and then the white speckling you see is actually a type of sodium that will cause the glaze at those points to sag and run. I am trying a handful of new glaze ideas this round, so stay tuned for the finished product and some other results!
I’m not sure how I feel about the triangular thumb rest yet. I’m still trying different ones that I like that feel comfortable but also mesh well with the forms I have been producing!
