Our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in @pranayogakl ‘s birthday and fund-raising #108sunsalutations yogathon on 10 Dec to benefit kidney patients in need of dialysis in rural Mysore, India.

We raised a total of RM3080 for the event, which is equivalent to approximately 133 dialysis (surpassing our goal of 100 dialysis). Official receipt for the donation will be issued by Indea Foundation Mysore later.

A big heartfelt THANK YOU for your contribution, and for those who donated but could not make it for the event. Your dedication to complete the 108 rounds of Sun Salutations (a first for a few of you), was amazing and inspiring!

I get DM’s asking me which religion I practice and my answer can vary from ignorance to hilarious depending on the way the question is approached.Just for the record,I was born in a liberal Hindu family in a very small town in Tamilnadu.I grew up in a British boarding school with a church and I am very fascinated with Sufism.
I moved to Bangkok 10 years back and started to read a lot on Buddhism and I felt that I can practice Buddhism without converting and labeling myself as Buddhist.To get back to the questions I get asked....I practice only one religion and that is yoga😊.

Yoga practice undoubtedly helps you on this journey.Centuries ago, the great sage Patanjali laid out a kind of map—one that suggests not just asana and meditation but also attitudes and behaviors—to help you chart your own course to contentment.If you've been practicing yoga for a while, you're familiar with asana, pranayama, and meditation. But you might not know much about the first two steps of the path: the five yamas and five niyamas. These are the ethical precepts, or core values which are similar to the ten Commandments of Christianity or the ten virtues of Buddhism.

I have said harsh things. I aim to speak my truth, as I see very clearly. Most people do not like this. This exquisite poem reminds us what most strikes (or lashing out) really are. I want to scream out “do not choose the lesser life, do you hear me, do you hear me” to certain ones as @nayyirah.waheed so beautifully writes. But they don’t want to listen. Because that truth hurts.

Props are such amazing tools for creating space to play and explore. Here I am using a block and a belt to flip my grip in Ardha Chandra Chapasana 🌙 for day #2 of our #PROPSPROPSHOORAY challenge. Don’t be fooled, this is a surprisingly challenging variation of half moon pose that combines standing balance and an asymmetrical backbend. If you don’t have props at home try using a bathrobe tie and a stack of books. Get creative 🤓 and have fun! 🤸‍♀️ •
