@dylynharrison , I entered the photo of Lita and Marnie into the “that just happened” category and they are still in the contest! ❤️😉
Last month I entered some photos into @shootandshare ‘s contest. I am not a big supporter or even believer of contests because in today’s digital age I feel they simply become a popularity contest. It’s super easy to share a link to your photo and tell people to vote for it. It’s also very easy for well known and well supported photographers to win due to a large following. However this contest seemed different for a few reasons. First of all, there is no way to share a link to one of your images. A selection of 4 random images is made and you pick which of the 4 is your favorite. There is also no way to know who took the image. To anyone voting they are just 4 random images. Once you contest started there is no way to know how your photos are doing or if they progress to the next round. The only way to really know is if by chance one of your photos pop up. The voting is actually a bit addictive and I have found myself spending a lot of time doing so. The contest is into round 9 and only 16.3% of the original amount of photos remain. Last night while voting I was so excited to see one of my photos. That means this one is still in the running!❤️ #livingthroughthelens #livingthroughthelensphotography #dog #dogportrait #dogphotography #dogphotographer #pet #petportrait #petphotography #petphotographer #edmonton #yeg #edmontonphotographer #yegphotographer #contest #shootandshare #shootandshare2018
