Hello Spring and #HappyBirthday Recovery

Is what you are doing in life right now bringing you joy, fulfilment and satisfaction? Or do you feel stuck, like you're living groundhog day or that you're flatlining? If the answer is one of the latter then you are probably not living your true purpose and doing what lights you up.
When you ask people 'what is your purpose in life'? most will have never actually articulated what their purpose is, or have ever really thought deeply about it. So the question is: How can you work towards a way of being in life if you've never defined what that way of being is?
For many, the words 'life purpose' conjures up ideas of 'big things' you do in life to change the world; some external achievement or something you spend your life striving to reach. In my opinion, your life purpose is how you choose to live everyday so you feel aligned to those things you value most in life.
I'm happy to announce that The Institute is moving to The Beehive building in central Bendigo as of term two!

Create Beauty in your life, and love with all your heart. Be true to your nature and thrive beautifully even when the world is hard and sometimes ugly.
To create a safe place for artisans to teach and display their work.
To provide an inspiring location for people to experiment with creativity and learn to love what they make.
My Reason for Being:
I grew up in a creative household so making things has always been an accepted part of life. It wasn’t until I was in my early adult life that I realised its absolute importance in my world. I suffered from a major depressive illness in my 30s and creativity was a vital part of my recovery. (Things like medicine, therapy, faith and friends also played a huge role too!)
Having been well for 15+ years, I figured I have the responsibility (and passion) to help others reconnect with their creative energy. I’m not a doctor, or therapist so my contribution has to be as friend and creative inspirer.
My skills lie in the area of fibre and clothing, so I teach sewing and creative clothing. My hope is to bring in as many creative people as possible to help people explore the endless possibilities for creativity.
The opportunity to open the Bendigo Beehive is a dream come true.
I hope it will grow to a flourishing community of creativity and hope.
