Azalea decides to drop by at the Goldstein's for a chat. She jumps at the sight of a tall man in a blue coat and messy red hair.
"Terribly sorry, didn't mean to alarm you", he says. Tina quickly pulls Azalea in.
"Lea, this is Mr. Newt Scamander, the talk of MACUSA. Mr. Scamander, this is a friend of ours, Azalea, who is a quite a fan with magical creatures", Tina introduces Azalea to Newt.
"Do you have magical creatures?", asks Azalea.
"A suitcase full of it", Tina mumbles.
"I have a Niffler. His name is Hawkes", says Azalea and in cue, Hawkes pops out from her purse.
"He better not make a mess", Tina warns her.
Newt opens his case and let Azalea and the no-maj name Jacob into it, after Tina and Queenie retire for the night. Azalea has never seen so many magical beasts and her joy matches Jacob.
Newt let Hawkes play with his Niffler as Azalea walks around. "Are you a collector?", she asks.
"I study them. I plan on bringing Frank home to Arizona", says Newt, pointing at the Thunderbird. Azalea's eyes lit up like fireworks - it was the first time she's seen a Thunderbird this close.
"He's beautiful", says Azalea.
"Can't just let him be in chain all his life", says Newt. Despite her joy, Newt can see the sadness in her eyes.
Azalea sits at the workshop as she and Newt drinks tea while Jacob sits outside, still admiring the beasts. She sees a photograph of a woman.
"Wife?", she asks.
Newt stares at the photo and sighs. "Not really", he says.
Azalea takes out her locker and opens it. Percival had given it to her and has his picture in it.
"Husband?", asks Newt. Azalea wipes the single tear away.
"I don't know. One minute I was happy..., but then it changed", she says sadly.
"People change", says Newt.
"For a reason, Mr. Scamander. Mine..., I don't know. It is unlike him", she says.
"Miss Hawthorne, may I ask for a favour?", Newt asks, fidgeting his collar.
"You want me to go and get your creatures back? I'd be happy to help, but we've got to bypass the sisters", says Azalea. Newt immediately smiles at her as Jacob comes in.
"You guys still have some tea left?", he asks.
