Why is Daniel so excited? Stay tuned to find out what we’re up to in the studio today 🤘💫 #messierobjects

Orion- I think its awesome how great phone cameras are these days to be able to capture this, in a town centre, with so little effort ✨
Featuring the stars Betelguese (red super giant, top left), Bellatrix (top right) and Rigel (blue super giant, bottom right) as well as the belt. And I think you can just about see the M42 cluster (star forming region) the fuzzy bit just above the tip of his "sword".

Details, details. #messier75, a #globularcluster in #Sagittarius, painted at a scale of aproximatley 1:10^20, so one #quark in this particular part of the painting corresponds to about 100 feet in the actual #cluster. It's part of a painting work in progress, called "23 September 1846" - stay tuned

Messier 22 (M22), NGC 6656, is a globular cluster located in the constellation Sagittarius lying at a distance of 10600 light years from Earth, receding from us at 149 km/s.

It is one of the brightest globular clusters in the sky and also one of the nearest to the solar system. The only globular cluster closer to us is Messier 4. M22 orbits the Milky Way centre once every 200 million years.
M22 is visible to the naked eye in good conditions. In binoculars, M22 appears as a faint patch of light. Small telescopes will resolve the brightest stars and larger instruments will reveal stars across the cluster.

The best time of year to observe M22 is in June, July and August.

The estimated age of M22 is 12 billion years. The cluster occupies an area of slightly larger than the size of the full Moon corresponding to a linear diameter of 99 light years.
The only globular clusters brighter than M22 are Omega Centauri and 47 Tucanae. Neither of these clusters was included in the Messier catalogue because they are too far south to be visible from most northern locations.

The cluster contains at least 83,000 stars. Two black holes were discovered in M22 with 10 and 20 solar masses.

This is a quick shot of the beehive star cluster through my telescope. Beehive cluster also known as praesepe, Messier 44, is an open cluster found in the constellation Cancer the crab and is around 577 light years away from earth. This was taken at 0:06am on 11th of January 2018 :) Equipment- nightcappro app on iPhone 6, 28mm deepview eyepiece, Orion skyquest xt8 plus dobsonian reflector telescope.

In the constellation Auriga, the open cluster M38, and at the 4 o'clock position, the more distant cluster NGC 1910. Taken last night at Pigeon Lake Alberta before the clouds rolled in. Forty eight 30 second subs, using a Takahashi FS 102 at F6, and a Mallincam Universe. Processed using Deep Sky Stacker and StarTools. #astrophotography #messierobjects

A fully deepened henna stain is the perfect complement to rich jewel toned outfits. Also the deeper the stain the deeper the love! Clearly a LOT of love here. This couple was so nerdy in the best way ever, and I hid galactic treasures in the patterns including planets, comet, and #messierobjects. As always I use my organic Rajasthani henna to get an awesome stain. M 106. It seems that its interior hosts a supermassive black hole on which the entire galaxy is collapsing.

Messier 21 (M21), NGC 6531, is an open cluster located in the southern constellation Sagittarius lying at a distance of 4250 light years from Earth.

M21 consists mainly of faint stars, but is also home to a few blue giants. The cluster contains about 57 confirmed members. M21 lies just beyond naked eye visibility, but can easily be found even in the smallest binoculars. A 6-inch or larger telescopes will show many more stars tightly packed.

M21 is only 4.6 million years old, which makes it relatively young for an open star cluster. It is only 10 percent of the age of M45, the famous Pleiades cluster in Taurus, and 1 percent the age of the Sun.

The best time of year to observe M21 is in the months of June, July and August.

Happy New Years 2018 ! ( A photo of Messier 37 from 2016 ) I noiced that i am lacking some Deep Sky Astrophotography from 2017, LOL it's been a lot of moon photography. I hope i able to capture some more Deep Sky Objects in 2018. Winter got a lot of Deep Sky Objects, might start taking when it gets warmer and better sky. I am going try to get a lighter CGEM mount. #astronomy #astroporn #astrophotography #astrophoto #astrophotographer #deepsky #deepskyphotography #deepskyobjects #deepspaceobject #deepspaceastrophotography #spaceporn #2017 #2018 #happynewyears #happynewyears2018 #messier37 #messierobjects #spaceporn #space #astrophotographyporn

@Regranned from @universetoday - Hey there! its Soren @sorentns again for my last picture of the day. I have to give a BIG thanks to @universetoday and Fraser @fcain, I feel very honored to have been given this opportunity!

This photo was taken last summer, when a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to spend the weekend with him in his countryhouse away from the city. This was a good chance for me to test my telescope away from the light pollution, and I was surprised of how much more details you get by moving out of the city.

The orion nebula is a big cloud of gas and dust inside our milky way, its a region where new stars are being born. Its one of the most photographied objects in the sky, and no wonder why!
