To follow up from yesterday's post...took this picture last night to show that plenty of mess still happens around here, thanks to tornado Eleanor . But she needs room to play freely and this is a just part of it. We embrace the mess while she's playing and have taught her early on that she has to help clean it up. It's never perfect, but we don't need it to be. #toddlerlife#messy#moments#simple#reallife#mamamoments#onedayatatime#babygirlgebely#love
Do you ever feel like you are drowning?! me too! Being swept away by a sea of I must do more, I have to be more.... A few months ago I was suffocating. Literally. Being smothered under bills, "adulting", school, work, this impossible, unattainable idea of perfection. If this is you raise your hand?!
It was like ice cold claws where grabbing at my neck, robbing me of my happy, of my Jesus, of my joy. Choices I was making, cornering me into a world, where I did not belong, not did want to be a part of.
This was my life. I saw that I was running, but not running towards anything, I was simply trying to run away. BAM! It hit me! At 10 am, on a Friday, I didn't want that life. So I stopped. Dead in my tracks, a deer in headlights style. I didn't want perfection. I didn't want the idiotic idea of a pristine, pretty life to be my legacy. -
Turning on my heals, falling on my face, still working on it, I am racing, lunging, leaping towards more. Something filled with the scarred hands of Jesus, building his mosaic masterpieces out of our broken hearts.
We are not defined by our past, we are defined my our present. By our faith, our love, by our Jesus. #jesus#brokenpeices#mystory
I am all about memories > things! But we all still have those items on or wish list and we work hard for them! Here are mine.
1. Books (I love a good book and my wish book list is always growing and growing). 2. An Iphone. I changed from iphone to Android some years ago and I miss it so much! (Currently working for it!) 3. A perfect vacation with my family and friends
