After stocking the Barefoot with delicious extravagancies for 6 weeks we anchored overnight in Tangalooma / Moreton Island. With the break of dawn we are heading NE on an almost 2000 nautical mile journey along Cato and Chesterfield Islands back to the Whitsunday Island to explore and fix our addiction to the ocean. Fair winds and following seas and wild pirate nights! Fun drone shot @barefootcaptain#barefootadventures2017
The Tangalooma wrecks off Moreton Island.
This is a great adventure Island to visit!
You can snorkel around the wrecks not far from the shore, fish, parasail, ride the sand dunes, handfeed bottlenose dolphins that visit the shore every evening and heaps more! What more could you wish for in paradise!
I've only been here once but forever wanted to go back and spend more time on Moreton Island.
You can camp at several spots on the Island or there's a resort if camping isn't your thing.
We took a 45 minute boat ride across from Brisbane to get there.
This place is definitely a place to put on your 'places to see' in Brisbane.
