These three oils are always on my nightstand. Ever since I started using dōTERRA essential oils, these three oils have my been go to and I make sure I always have these on hand.
Lavender is such a great way to promote a peaceful sleep at night as well as to ease feelings of tension. Lately, I have been experimenting with different oils to diffuse during the night but I keep going back to Lavender to help me fall asleep and stay asleep.
Melaleuca is something I keep on my nightstand as well because I have suffered from eczema for a very long time and I still have flare-ups every once in a while and so I put two drops of Melaleuca to my skin lotion or carrier oil to help manage my eczema and keep it away! It truly is incredible for all things skin.
Peppermint helps energize me in the mornings which is why I keep it on my nightstand as well. When I wake up in the morning, before I even get out of bed, I simply add one or two drops to the palms of my hands and cup it over my nose and breathe in deeply and I feel instantly energized!
Which essential oils do you keep on your nightstand?

The same piece of elm I photographed yesterday all planed up. This stuff is so abrasive, I had to sharpen my #1 blue steel plane several times to get a good finish! This wood is also a bit of a chameleon; the photo on the left looks flat, while the right photo shows the glossy finish apparent when viewed at an angle. Hammer for scale.
