Dad said, Running is the best anti depressant. So I started running alone in the woods this morning (with no music pump).I don't listen to music when I run. Nature sounds better. I enjoy the sound of my own breathing, footfalls, the breeze, the birds and also the sound of silence. But, I would definitely put those earphones on if I'm running in the city full of noise pollution.
I wanted to know how trail running adds whole new dimension to running. I didn't focus on the distance, instead I was focused on the experience.
It was challenging and beautiful, and the sheer effort it took to keep moving was even spiritually cleansing. It was a lot of fun and now I know pretty well how pleasurable running can be.
