It's never been about weight loss or physical appearance to me. {I lie...}

It used to be EXACTLY those things. They were my SOLE reason for moving my body.

NOW... Those things are byproducts for my reason to exercise.

I started taking control of my health + fitness after having babies because I was tired of feeling TIRED. Having suffered from anorexia in the past, I forgot what GOOD wellness looked like. I went from Anorexic, to overweight, to having babies ... to ... being TIRED {all. the. time}. I was think I was just naturally tired person. But I didn't want to feel that way. •
So I added shakeology + 30 mins of fitness into my life ... now i workout more or less, depends on the day. But I'm no longer chained down by exhaustion.
When ppl ask me how I stay motivated - it is pretty easy.
My life depends on it. It's a choice.💋✌🏻

Are we running today?? Still struggling with January blues.. here's Some tips to try & make life a bit easier if your starting out fresh as a runner in 2017 Ready, Set, Go... 1. Start from scratch: don't let any bad experiences or negatives vibes effect your mindset, maybe coming last in the sports day when you were young at school, or a crazy PE teacher go in with fresh head & try to start with a positive mindset

2. Always have a goal: A Goal without a plan is just a wish! Set yourself a realistic short term goals but always try & have a plan/long term goal to give you focus & something to aim towards! Your body is sometimes more capable than your mind will let you believe who knows what you could achieve

3. Run with a partner or even better in a group, it is proven that running in a Group will improve you as a runner, it makes you accountable to others & adds consistency if you have something scheduled each week or few times a week. Then skipping those sessions becomes difficult as not only will you let yourself down as but you will be letting your new found running community down. On top of that it's always good to have that extra bit of competition to improve
4. Have the right equipment: before starting on your running journey it's important to make sure you have the right tools! Gait analysis is highly recommend to see what style of runner you are & what running shoe is best suited! If your running frequently you want to make sure you stay in full health as will help prevent injury & make sure you running to the best of your ability unleashing your full potential

5. With all this above said & done most importantly just enjoy yourself... don't think of running as a chore enjoy getting fitter & enjoy the long & short term health benefits, but also take in the small things along the way those early morning sun rises, evening sun sets, go on long runs in new venues, in new cities explore a bit & enjoy people you meet along the way @worlderunners
