My @victoriahealth order arrived today, only a week after it was dispatched. As always, the packaging, delivery and service was awesome. I picked up the full size of the iS Clinical Cleansing Complex after enjoying my travel size so much (thanks again to @neets_ for putting me onto this!) and a full size of NIOD SDSM2. After seeing it so much on here and with my JR HA coming to an end, I was in need of a new mist and this one is definitely popular! I’m looking forward to trying it out. Saving the cleanser for when my Glossier Milky Jelly runs out... #1empty1newbie and all that!
I see this mist mentioned frequently in the skin care community and finally decided to give it a try! NIODs description of the product is of course super technical but a couple of points that stood out to me were: "SDSM2 is the second generation of SDSM, NIOD's dermal treatment mist–not to be classified mistakenly as a "toner"–that acts as a fundamental daily force against oxidative stress, water loss and the look of inflammation, all of which contribute to loss of visible skin quality over time.
Arguably, SOD is the most important force against oxidation in the human body."
I wanted to snap a picture before I decanted some of the mist because this size is absolutely not travel friendly. I cannot comment yet on the antioxidant effects on my skin but so far I am enjoying it, I like spraying it on before my serum and I feel like I am getting an nice light layer of extra hydration, which is great for this time of year. I love the thought of getting another layer of antioxidant protection. There is no smell to the mist and because of the quantity I feel like it will last me a long time. I am trying my absolute best to remember to also spray this on my neck and decolletage as well. Cheers to adding yet another step to my daily regimes! ♀️
Second use of the NIOD SDSM and I am in love. My skin feels so hydrated! The mist sinks right in and doesn’t leave a film. The rest of my routine went on like a dream. @cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser @niod SDSM @skinceuticals C E Ferulic (back to using some Vit C in the morning) @paulaschoice RESIST Redness Relief Repairing Serum @biodermausa Hydrabio Gel-Creme @biossance Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel @dermalogica Solar Defense Booster SPF 50
This is the night time routine I'm doing these days. I'm waiting for my @joshrosebrook order to arrive and start changing things here and there, since winter is getting harsh.
I keep alternating The Body Shop cleansing balm and Oskia Renaissance cleansing gel. Now it's oskia's turn. It leaves my skin comfortable and I have the impression that one time my blackheads look cleaner. On the other side sometimes the scent is too much, and it does sting my eyes a bit.
I was using this Verso eye serum before the niod one. I think with niod's I had less "bad wrinkle days". I like the tingling effect that it gives right away.
And like in my current a.m. routine I'm using niod sdsm, decanted in a finer spritzer. I keep reading people's testimonies of the benefits of copper peptide (or something like that), but I notice nothing so far. I think I enjoyed josh rosebrook hydrating accelerator for its hydrating properties.
I'm using Paula's Choice Omega+ serum as a light moisturizer. It's a joyless product for me, because it smells of emptiness. I enjoyed Cerave's p.m.lotion much more.
The lip scrub helps me to remove the dead skin every night, but by the end of the day they look the same . I'll add the Bite Beauty mask in the routines.
And last but not least, May Lindstrom's Blue Cocoon. I enjoy splitting a generous layer of it. I'm so much for a rich last layer at night!

DAY 10: NECK/CHEST/HANDS
OK. I'm NOT high maintenance... Now that this is out of the way... Here are my choices for this category, and no, I don't think I will ever have just one product as a favourite!
1.@Deciem@hylamide Hydra-density Mist.
6.Deciem The Chemistry Brand Hand Chemistry Pro-Repair.
I like to use the scrub on my hands, which I then spray with either one of the 2 sprays (I also spray those on my face, neck and chest) rub it in and then apply one of the 2 hand creams. This ritual saved my hands, which had become so dry, they were cracking.
DAY 4 of #skinemmies2017 Hosted by @antiagingamber and @morethanjustskin . . .
My #skinemmies2017 goes to @deciem@niod SDSM mist! Is it a toner? Is it a mist? Who cares? Lol! It’s a skin product must have! It helps prevent oxidative stress which leads to skin aging and preserves skin hydration. My oily skin hasn’t been too oily since I started using this remarkable mist! . . . .
My only complaint about this product is the spray nozzle. I must have gotten the jet stream version because the force of this spray was pretty strong and the amount of product it was spraying was quite a lot. So I cheated and used this fantastic spray bottle from @thealluringalchemist The Jupiter Box Collection . . .
My pick for the winner today is.......... Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Mist
Ive tried skipping the toner / hydrating mist step after cleansing, but I really miss it when I do. I think my oily skin prefers light layers of hydration versus thick creams. This is the best hydrating mist Ive ever used! Definitely a Holy Grail. And the nozzle produces the finest mist - which I really think makes a difference. It’s expensive, but I think totally worth it. I love the texture of the product (it’s not too watery), and the scent is heavenly and relaxing. Feels very high luxury!
