Today is my sunshines 17th birthday She is magic. Pure magic. A beam of light. My why. She makes me believe anything is possible because if she existed, others like her do too. She is a promise of a better tomorrow. A flame. A phoenix. An antidote. Her life matters. Anyone she comes in contact with, she changes them for the better.
Her love & light are infectious & cherished. As she's grown I have watched this very sensitive little girl turn into a strong, mature, principled, compassionate young lady. Her sensitivity is not something that makes her weak, when backed by her strong sense of self, it allows her to be kind yet stand up for herself & others.
We are so much alike & share a deep connection that gets more realized as time passes. The unconditional love we share & the tremendous pride I have for my girl is immeasurable. I can't even bring myself to think of her going off to college without becoming a puddle of tears. She's just so special to me, her daily existence has made me a better woman & mother.
Her nicknames "fruitcake & sunshine" remain because she's still a spunky, goofy, funny girl that does the worlds best one man band & her sunshine spirit bursts out of her heart of gold. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine"
I birthed you into this world - but you - brought me - into this world fully.
You have my eternal, never ending love. It will always know no bounds & when you need more of, it will be there for you
Happy birthday my everything. My best friend. My beloved. My sunshine.

Nos gustas libre, único, increíble, orgulloso, inspirador, comprometido... nos gustas como tú eres. ¿Una Beefeater para celebrar que ha llegado la primavera (aunque no se note)? #lowegastroanddrinks#beefeater#gintonic
How was your day?
I spent most of my afternoon at my alma mater, @effat_university. I was part of Reading Day’s panel discussion on “Why Read?”. So, I’d love to know why YOU read, what inspires or motivates you? And how did you become a reader?
Thank you for the lovely event @effatlib and for inviting me to be a part of it
(Also; I didn’t waste the opportunity to have coffee at Paul, my fave during uni! Their croissants )
Our friend Jean gave us a gift certificate to "Resto Plaisir" so we've decided to try this French bistro in front of our hotel: Paris Grill. I took this deer tartare with truffle oil, oyster mushrooms and pine tree nut. It was really good and fresh . The menu had a lot of French specialties , a little bit costy for what they offer . I was satisfied with my tartare. Good experience but as a French it wouldn't become a must for me.
