Three long weeks of nonstop going. Birthday blues, mammogram, baseball, Ballet, fur baby emergency, two school events, two community events, two oily events, three runs a week, and a seasonal cleanse...on top of the daily grid of maintaining a home, three kiddos, a senior dog, yoga practice ...this way-making, chain-breaking woman needed to take some time to rest.
However, that is easier said then done.
R&R does not come easily to me. Growing up in a toxic family, heavy on criticism, opposed by hippie love and feminism, molded me into a fierce Type A. My healing journey has taught me that all work and no fun, all go and no rest, gets me nowhere. Yet this morning I struggled with my ANTS (automatic negative thoughts) that staying in bed a little longer, taking it slow and easy, not rushing out to meditation, yoga, and a run, was not lazy, but being kind to my body, honoring my temple, appreciating all that has been accomplished, reflecting and processing all that has been illuminated.
Soaking in a therapeutic bath was exactly what was needed to to bring peace, balance, and growth. Today's cocktail consisted of Young Living Essential Oils; Lavender, Palo Santo, Release and SARA.
Lavender is kinda obvi, relaxing/balancing, but it also lends to intuition and clarity. Palo Santo is great for spiritual connection and releasing negative emotions. Release kinda obvi too, release negative memories, and assists with said cleanse. SARA (Sexual and Ritual/Religious Abuse), not pictured because I keep her already mixed with Epsom Salts, is a heavy hitter, in this season, with all that has come to light, roots that have been exposed, the collective and universal breaking of silence of women everywhere, SARA was needed more today the ever before. This is no foo foo, fancy bubble bath, this is essential therapy!!! Drawn with intention, entered into as a sacrament, and fully immersed for enlightenment and restoration.
I am grateful to Our Creator for such powerful and natural tools.
How do you reset? Are you taking time? Utilizing creation to its fullest? Do you want to learn more? I would be honored to assist you along your journey

Palo Santo is a #sacred wood that comes from the #magical Palo Santo tree, native to the coast of South America. Its name literally means #holy#wood, and it is just that. When it is burned, the #smoke is believed to have both #medicinal and #therapeutic healing power. Traditionally, it is burned by #Incas, indigenous people of the Andes, #Shamans and medicine people for #spiritual#purifying, #energy#cleansing and #healing. Some of the most well-known Palo Santo uses include inspiring #creativity, evoking #protection, infusing #blessings and bringing both love and good fortune. It is a wonderful tool to use before and during your meditation. Its uplifting scent helps to raise your vibration to bring a deeper connection to the Earth and your divine source.
For physical healing, Palo Santo benefits include relieving symptoms of common colds, stress, headaches, anxiety, inflammation, emotional trauma and more. It is also wonderful for setting and sealing in your intentions with. We also like to use it while clearing our crystals and our jewelry!
