INTO THE DEEP A deep lunge is one of the basic but powerful asanas that kids really enjoy. And it’s easy to do: Have your foot grounded on the mat, knee bent at 90 degrees, and weight resting on your heel. Your back knee should be rooting down into the mat, with the ball of your foot on the mat. Keep your arms shoulder width apart and straight up, with your fingers pointing to the sky, the palms facing each other. Switch legs after 30 seconds, then hold for 30 more seconds.
