"The Orange Blind" by Francis Campbell was one of the peices that really stood out for me at The Kelvingrove Museum last week.
Campbell was one of the four Scottish colourists-a group of post impressionist painters who had a strong influence on contemporary Scottish art. They experimented alot with colour as is evident in this work where the striking orange is the focal point. Along with this, the teal sette and mauve walls perfectly balance the painting. I personally love the unusual arrangement of all the furniture and the grand chandelier that hangs above. Campbell used his own studio at the Ainsley Palace in Edinburgh for the setting of this joyous piece of art. @glasgowkelvingrove
