As if front squats already didn’t burn enough. My “friend” @shliz_fit had the bright idea and convinced me to add a pulse to each rep. Talk about 🔥🔥. And we did this AFTER our regular back squats.

Tip of the day: When doing front squats, you should hold the weight across your chest and shoulders. Your hands should just help keep the weight in place, not hold it up.

Meditation and fitness - how are they connected? For so long, I was someone who believed that anything could be overcome by “will”. Strength was overcoming obstacles, and not feeling any sort of emotion while doing so. Within this past year, especially these past few months, my entire mindset and purpose in the fitness world has shifted. •


Fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, is extremely connected to a spiritual world. Your mind is a powerful tool. The way you speak to yourself, can change the way you think about so many things. Telling yourself positive things, self love affirmations, and giving yourself the grace to deal with the downs in life, will not only create a sense of peace, but a deep sense of understanding of just how much your mind and body are connected. •


Our sweet little son has some extreme anger issues. He gets very overwhelmed with stimuli, and will react in an angry manner sometimes. Because josh and I have found a way to connect mediation to our business, and our lives on a daily basis, we immediately knew to start meditating with him. We do a guided kids meditation morning & night with him, and sure enough, it has helped. We remind him he has the power to change his thoughts, because Dex will say things like “but mommy my brain tells me to be angry”. So we respond with “tell your brain there is no place for anger”. •


Fitness has taught me a self love that I have dreamed of for quite some time. It has reminded me that my mind is stronger than my body, and when my mind is at peace, my body follows. •

Down 1lb this week to 210lbs now!! Total loss of 8 lbs in 37 days!!

Diet and training on point all week, just missed some cardio days. Oh well nothing to dwell on still lost weight just didn’t have much of a change physically this week.

That’s the name of the game. I’ll choose to trust the program rather than get discouraged!!

Never settle for complacency!! Only moving forward for me!!

"What do you do post workout?" -

That's the golden question I ask anyone I speak to about their post workout nutrition. -
