She has many names but I’m sticking with those two above.
Thank you to the ones that have voted on my recent story/poll. Overwhelming “No” - you don’t care about how I am not following the botanical binomial naming format when I am posting a feature plant from my collection. So that said, I will continue to follow MY own (posting) format...for now
Oops I did it again!
All seeds like to germinate in the dark!
After my taugé test I now tested Broccoli by germinate an equal amount of seeds in the same environmental conditions, only one germinated in the light and the other in the dark. As you can see on the photo, though the sprouts look weird pale, I got 46% more yield by germinating them in the dark. (39 grams v.s. 57 grams). This is real money in the bank! And they taste a bit different as well. The green ones are bit more bitter.
Because I love the look of fresh greens, I put my pale looking Broccoli in the light for one extra day and they turned into my favourite colour!
