Princes Pier, Port Melbourne
In 1948, a boat, one among countless vessels, arrived at Princes Pier, full of European migrants escaping their now desolate home countries.
My father was on one of these boats that arrived at the now unused Princes Pier. Next month we will be celebrating my dad being in Australia for 70 years.
Migration has been a pillar of our society for decades and decades. And has truly made this country as strong and exciting as it is today. .
