The more time I spend alone, the more I begin to realize what I'm craving is a deeper connection with myself.
It's not about finding time, it's making time to be alone... With the breath
Without anything left to identify and define me
There I am.
Sharing this moment with you I chose to pause from a fast paced morning work flow to be IN my body.
To feel, to listen, to be IN it.
If you don’t have time, take just 5 seconds and close your eyes and feel your body. Your toes, your face, your feet. Your chest when you breathe.
Regardless of what you can or can’t do, your body is amazing.
Grateful for my body! #flow#prescence
Challenge of the day: Practicing with a beginner’s mind.
I’ve been in a relationship with yoga for a little over 10 years. In the beginning it was incredible, yoga energized me, inspired me, created butterflies in my stomach. There was a yearning to be on my mat and be together and I couldn’t get enough. Flash forward months, years and a decade later and our relationship has evolved. At times I needed space, at times I felt uninspired and I can admit, bored . But I kept coming back and committing to my practice. Like life, our relationship has seen its ups and downs. But today I challenged not only my students, but myself to see every practice, every pose and every breath as if it were the first time. Connecting back to that sense of newness and awe and discovering the practice in a whole new way. Can we move away from the habitual patterns that we’ve created and be fully present. Down dog and child’s pose may see mundane day after day but there is so much to uncover. Become curious again, reignite the spark. Commitment is no joke. It takes work, it takes being in uncomfortable positions and not giving up. The practice evolves as we do. But for today I challenge you, to see with beginner’s eyes. : @abigailrcollins#yoga#yogi#yogini#yogaeveryday#yogaworks#practice#prescence#commitment#inspiration#motivation#beginnersmind#perspective#eyes#energy#chakras#light#stretch#strength#balance#focus#fit#fitness#health#healing#mindfullness#meditation#wellness#layoga#yogateacher#gratitude
