Mahabalipuram, Nov 2016.
This is one of my favorite shots from the recent times and it is for a good reason. Whenever I meet some wedding photographers in India, they talk about how boring it is to know only a handful of locations and shoot in the same place, multiple times. So many other photographers shoot and populate internet with pictures which are very similar too. That’s fine but in many ways I hate people who complain! There is so much this universe has to offer and there is so much that you can do in a given location. In fact I love the challenge of shooting at the same location multiple times to push myself to come back with something different every time. Mahabalipuram is one location where I’ve shot so many times that I can almost see the shots when I walk through the places. When I look back at the pictures I’ve made in this place, it is encouraging to see a fresh approach in the frame every time. The idea is to unlearn and stay in awe with the place, which will in turn offer something new to you when you are there. You just have to look around and be ready. This is one shot that I am happy to share with you. Do you like it?
