"Never let anyone make you feel ordinary." - Taylor Jenkins Reid, 'The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo'
This is my first contemporary romance fiction ever. Romance isn't typically my genre, but this book is enthralling.
I am absolutely taken by Evelyn Hugo. She is a charismatic, complex, charming, and alluring character. She reminds me of the strong and independent female characters in low budget, black & white, B-movies -- the perfect recipe for these cold winter nights.
There will be days when stepping out from your shell will be the last thing you'd want to do. Those days won't seem bright, the nights won't comfort you and there will be burning sensations on your insides.
And on these days, remind yourself of the paths you've travelled, the roads you've taken and the journeys you have completed. Remember what made you hold on till now. Keep fighting, the battle is only getting better.
LET’S TALK! Have you ever heard someone say: “Must be run by black people” ?
How can we be more positive about supporting black businesses and STOP tearing them down with stereotypes? How can we improve our businesses? Check out the new blog written by yours truly. Let’s share, discuss, & improve.
