Vampire: I must admit, the past ten years of vampires in mainstream culture has kind of ruined vampires for me... for now. Ive seen so many ham-handed, "reimaginings" of vampires that I'd rather not add another to the mix. I'd been thinking a lot about Rat Fink lately, I I decided to have some fun with the vampire entry and make a "Bat Fink". Vampires are staples of popular horror movies/literature. Vampiric creatures can be found in ancient cultures all around the world. They all have different names but the behavior is similar; they are all parasitic, supernatural creatures. GOT VOLBEAT???!!! We weren’t always rockabilly fans here. When we were “angry rebellious” teenagers we loved our metal and hard rock. Pantera, Deftones, Korn and Sepultura were frequently played at home and in the car. Raised on classic rock as children things come around full circle as we got older. Funny thing is the two of us ventured even further back then what we were raised on. Our early 20’s we fell in love with the sounds of rockabilly and 50’s rock ‘n’ roll. It was even crazier when Volbeat came on the scene. Mixing metal, rock n roll, punk and rockabilly to create a signature sound of their own. Michael Poulsen’s Elvis Presley inspired vocal approach hooked us immediately. The bands merchandiseis also fantastic. T shirt designs featuring 50’s Cadillacs, old hot rods and oil can looking labels keep their ties strong with the rockabilly and hot rod scene. Haven’t of heard them? Check them out...you’ll be glad you did! @volbeat@robcaggiano#volbeat#rockabilly#rocknroll#hotrods#kustomkulture#ratfink#music#elvismetal#elvispresley
