We are looking for some great high resolution shots (1MB or higher) of our supporters in the parks for some upcoming publications. Share your photos with us, tag us to give us permission. If we use your photo of course we would credit your work. We would also love some pictures with the Trails Challenge shirts - if anyone has them. : @ridge_hiker
I took this photo at Lake Chabot Regional Park, which was close to where I was staying in the East Bay. My housesitting hosts recommended that I go after I shared that I enjoy hiking, and I’m so glad that I got a chance to!
Not only was there tons of free street parking (ideal), there were also at least a dozen or so trails that traversed the park. I chose to walk part of the perimeter of the lake (it’s 20+ miles all the way around), which was absolutely beautiful.
I went alone at around 10am on a Friday, which meant there really wasn’t much foot traffic (also ideal). However, I did come across pairs and groups of friends, including the aunties pictured here.
I hope that I’m in some nice park on a weekday, enjoying a beautiful view while chatting with friends that I’ve had for years when I’m their age. Sometimes it’s the little things that I look forward to the most, ya know?
