GOOD NEWS FRIDAY
I am delighted to introduce our first ever Evolution Runners ambassador.
Miranda discovered running less than two years ago at a time in her life when she desperately needed a new direction. She soon became a regular at club coaching sessions and worked hard to achieve new goals she set for herself. Miranda represents everything Evolution Runners is about and loves to share the benefits of running with others.
You will be seeing more of Miranda as the face of Evolution Runners. Head to @miranda_farquhar if you’d like to follow her running journey or the link in our profile to read Miranda’s story
“Limits exist only in the mind”
I had to keep reminding myself of that yesterday during my “quick” 2 miler yesterday [8:39, 8:05]. I was hoping to run a faster pace but between the damp cold, taking almost two weeks off and heavy legs, my body wasn’t having it. Gotta get back at it slowly bc this gal wants nothing to do with an injury this time around!! .
Took today off of running and spent 20 min doing an awesome Yoga workout/stretch with @bohobeautifullife and feel so much better!!!! Learning to love the off days.
#tbt to warmer & dryer weather! I moved my rest day around because I knew today was going to be hit or miss as far as weather goes. It wasn’t too icy but it’s so wet out—and it’s kind of hard to tell the difference in wet & slick.
I started reading (well...listening ) to What Made Maddy Run this week. It’s so thought provoking & it’s really made me want to evaluate my own habits. I want to make sure I’m on social media for the right reasons & balancing actual human contact relationships as well. ♀️
It’s so easy to hide behind our phones. So Easy. It’s much harder to go out into the real world and make connections. A sad realization for me is that I probably compliment & encourage more people via social media or text than I do verbally. Granted most of my days/hours are spent with my littles-but I would like to find a better balance.
A lot of rambling—but i urge you to check out the book! If you’ve read it, what do you think?
