This year’s theme for #worldwaterday is #natureforwater. This encourages us to think about the different ways that water affects us and our natural environment. This is about more than just access to clean water, but also protecting ourselves from the changing water levels that we are increasingly seeing from extreme weather. The community of Ngolahun is working hard to build a reinforced bridge that will be strong enough to withstand the heavy rains that Sierra Leone experiences. This will enable farmers to have year-round access to their farms, and also enable children to access school, even during the heaviest rains.
