In honor of America’s Safe Schools Week and in recognition of @Sandyhookpromise#SaySomething Week, several Bainbridge middle schoolers attended the 1 On 1 Mentoring Upstander event. Bainbridge High School track coaches Larry Cosby, and Tandria Phillips spoke with students about the importance of being an inclusive TEAM and reviewed coaches tips for stopping AND preventing physical, verbal, and cyber bullying. #1on1mentoring
It’s time to do a self evaluation!!! Be honest with yourself and don’t do more than you can do. But this time it’s about doing to much. Don’t take on more than you can chew is what they say, and they are correct. No-one that is good person is going to judge you for doing a lesser weight or a task if it is done properly and you are gaining from it. I believe in each and everyone one of you. But most people are not going to tell you anything, and they are just going to watch even if you get hurt. It’s sad but true. It’s because apart of today’s society that if you tell someone something you are automatically being douchey. If you see someone doing something that may end up getting them hurt, please say something. Better to have said it and they don’t listen then do nothing and watch as they get hurt. •
