This beach may look a bit fresh in this photo but don't let that turn you off visiting East Beach at Low Head, in Tasmania's North. ⠀
Thanks for sharing your adventure with us, @the_macfarlanes! ⠀
A very popular beach, it's the closest surfing beach to Launceston and Georgetown.⠀
Swimming on the beach is popular with locals, however it is advised on the Tas surf page to be cautious due to the large amount of rips and dangerous swell that can occur. If you're not swimming, the beach is great for walking; with a mixture of sand, stones and shells along the shoreline to explore. ⠀
To get to East Beach drive to Low Head from Launceston on the East Tamar Highway. The drive will take around 45 minutes. ⠀
Be sure to take a jumper as the winds can be quite fresh!⠀

Salamanca Market has just won a State and Territory award at the 2017 Australian Event Awards! Our award was in the Best Tourism Event category and it’s exciting for the market to be recognized as one of the major tourism events in the country.
We would love to thank all of our fabulous stallholders and our market crew, who each week rain or shine, put together a fabulous event for people to enjoy, as well as the all of the thousands of people who support us – it’s a team effort and one that we are proud of.
