It has taken me almost 2 years to get where I am at today. I have hit plateaus, had a 5lb weight increase in 1 week and for months, my mind just wasn't in it. But guess what? I never gave up on myself. I kept pushing through my struggles. I kept pushing through it because I know how bad I want this. I can't tell you how many times I have failed. I still do. But it's part of your journey. I can say I love my body. I have carried 2 amazing and healthy babies full term. I have seen how hard I can push myself and try to push even further. I refuse to give up. I can only go forward from here. .

Third week of prep is off with a bang. Rough start on squats but the 2nd-4th sets got so much smoother. Bench is also feeling better all the time, thanks to the guidance of @lauratiddturner. I’m starting to think this prep might go pretty decently.

Shoulder Health work

1) Face Pulls: using either a band or a cable with light weight, brace shoulder blades back and down, then with arms at a bit less than 90 degrees, rotate your shoulders back to pull your hands back towards your head. Make sure your neck doesn't hunch forward and your lower back stays neutral, and focus on pulling from your rear shoulder/upper back area.

2) Band pull aparts: elbows at your side, hands gripping the band roughly shoulder width apart. Pull your hands apart by rotating your shoulders outward, bringing your shoulder blades and the backs of your shoulders together. Once again, the focus should be on your rear shoulders, and your hands can move around 6-10 inches outwards.

3) Cow's Face Stretch: reach one arm over and behind your back while the other reaches under and behind your back, reaching to touch your hands together. Start off gripping a towel to make up the space until your hands can touch, and make sure to keep your spine neutral (don't arch your back or tilt your head)
