There is beauty and power in being yourself in a world who is telling you to be otherwise. We are almost forced to compare ourselves to what we see and hear. I mention "hear" because when we hear others accomplishments, it can be easy to question where we are in life or what we are doing. Sometimes the grass may look greener on the other side, but many times we just cant see the poop in their yard (we all got some poop). We percieve things from a distance. Perception is ours. Staying focused on what God has called you to do and your happy life, is a beautiful thing. Its not selfish, its not wrong, but its minding our own business. It is great to recognize others accomplishments and even congratulate them- but when we are too focused on others, we get side tracked, we can fall into the comparison trap, we can even begin to forget who we are. Think about the things in your life are you grateful for and happy about. Lets not let the wrong perceptions define how we view ourself and the season we are in. Your beauty is unique and priceless. Where you are is purposeful and Jesus is working through you. You are learning, thriving, and growing .And don't ever let anyone make you feel the need to be otherwise.
