South East Asian girls have been adorning themselves in beautiful staple jewellery pieces for years & years. Whilst being a customary tradition, there is also another interesting explanation behind every jewellery piece that the girls decorate themselves with.
Nethi Chutty/Tikka: A woman’s forehead is where the chakra is believed to be. This is where the deity Ardhanarishvara (Shiva & Parvathi) reside. So this brings consciousness to that. Nose ring: It is believed that women who have their nose pierced experience less pain during child birth. It also prevents a woman from being hypnotised due to its power to control the brain wavelength. Earrings: By applying the right amount of pressure in the right ear to which the nerve of the kidney is connected, the health of the kidney and the bladder can be taken care of. Necklace: Worn near the heart, it is believed to control emotions and strengthen one’s love. Wearing a necklace of stones is believed to bind ourselves with their eternal powers.
