After reading a bunch of glowing reviews about Lonely Planet's liquid lipsticks, I finally gave in and ordered two tubes about three months ago--right before they rebranded to become @atomicmakeupnyc. It took me two months to finally get my hands on these babies as the company didn't do direct international shipping from the US.
I've been using these for several weeks now and I really like them! They're very lightweight and comfortable on the lips, but the color pay-off isn't compromised at all. The longevity is decent and the applicator is easy to use. I got the shades Keepsake and Sweet Jane, with the latter being my favorite by far. I was quite impressed by the quality, that I have ordered three more shades (Rumble, Debbie, and Nikki) and I expect them to arrive at my doorstep in about two weeks. Swatches and color review on my next post!
Atomic Makeup (formerly Lonely Planet) Silky Matte Liquid Lipstick, US$13 each from @atomicmakeupnyc
I ordered these two expecting them to be wearable nude shades, but they came out darker once applied on the lips. Keepsake is a warmer, more terracotta color compared to Sweet Jane, which is more of a deep mauve. The latter is also slightly less opaque, but it's nothing one extra layer can't fix.
Both look great against my medium-to-tan skin, but my olive undertones really bring out the hints of orange in Keepsake -- still pretty, though!
